I, too, know what it’s like to feel stressed and overwhelmed. 

Back in 2011 when I graduated from medical school I was angry, frustrated and on the edge of burnout. I had developed an autoimmune disorder, called alopecia universalis, where I lost all of my hair, including my scalp hair, eyelashes and eyebrows. I was stressed out, overwhelmed and stuck, unsure of what to do next. I knew that I wanted to feel well again but didn’t know where to start. 

When I finished my training two years later, I decided to create my own path and focus on my health and wellbeing. At first I struggled to prioritize myself. There were a lot of external pressures to continue living a busy stressful lifestyle as a resident doctor and then as a doctor new to practice.

But once I realized that my biggest roadblock was myself, things started to shift. I got out of my own way and trusted what my body and my intuition were telling me. 

My health and wellness became my #1 priority, so that I could live my best life and be there for those that I loved. This became even more clear when I became a mom.

I now have a sense of balance and control (most of the time!) in my very full life as a mom of 3, medical doctor and wellness coach.
